A year's worth of product development at GE Appliances. Most of which is still very confidential material. Projects include refrigerators, ovens, cooktops, kitchen concepts, digital interfaces, ergonomic studies, conceptual appliances, and more.

(1) Launched as of October 2008, the GE Profileā„¢ Built-In Single-Double Wall Oven brought a revolutionary new oven configuration to the market that included two different sized ovens able to cook at different temperatures simultaneously.

The Appliancist's review had this to say: "This exclusive wall oven is going to make some noise and some predict, it will make a culinary history. . . As beautiful as it is powerful, the single/double wall oven has stainless steel doors, handles and trims, with glass touch controls hidden inside the upper oven door for a sleek, modern appearance."

Contribution on this project included initial empathy/trend research (that established a need for something like a toaster oven but could still handle a Thanksgiving dinner preparation), usability of possible door configurations, aesthetic decisions, mock-up model specifications for research, and graphic placement/details.

(2) The GE Profileā„¢ 23.4 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator featured every appliance setting on the outside of the door, so the design challenge was to arrange the controls in an intuitive manner that looked organized and appropriate for the refrigerator body.
